Unity Foundation
Unity Foundation was founded as an “Organization of Public Utility” in the Grand-Duchy of Luxemburg in 1980. In 1991, Unity Foundation was granted the official status as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
From its inception, Unity Foundation has built its activities around the central mission of education:
- by promoting a culture of peace and unity
- by encouraging the development of universal education
- by improving general standards of health and hygiene
- by valorising the role and raising the status of women
A variety of projects have been successfully realised in Africa, Latin America and Asia. These projects are undertaken in coordination with our local NGO partners and co-financed by the Luxemburg Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation Division.

"Our projects assist in a re-evaluation of the teaching profession, both materially, as well as by increasing recognition of the role played by educators in the building of tomorrow’s societies."
