a cheque for Unity Foundation
Published on 20-07-2010
Esch/Alzette: In recent years, the Baha'i community offers classes for children and groups of young people, this not only for Baha'i children, but also to all the children in their neighborhood.
In these classes the youngsters learn the virtues through stories, songs, games and prayers. To put into practice what was taught, the children and their leaders had decided to support an education project in Mali from Unity Foundation this year.
On this occasion the children had tinkered and baked cookies they sold a Saturday afternoon in the streets of Esch / Alzette. On Sunday 11th of July, the recipe for this initiative was handed over to Fernand Schaber, president of UF during the festival season, where the parents were also invited. Fernand Schaber having been able to explain for what purpose the money will be used, was delighted to take the cheque of 296 € presented by these children engaged for a good cause and having a head full of ideas for a new project next year.
