ADCAM, a fully constituted non-profit institution und Brazilian law, began its activities in 1984 in Manaus, administering an orphanage in the suburb of Sao Jose and a rural development project in the river town of Iranduba.
In its quest to help the people of the Amazon region help develop their spiritual and material capacities and to become self-sustaining, ADCAM itself has grown and developed. ADCAM understood the urgent necessity of opening a formal school with basic elementary education and vocational training.
