Project description

The primary objective of this  project was to educate Youth on the HIV/AIDS pandemic.  During the project 25 youth have been trained to empower them to in turn share their knowledge with 10 peers each totalling 250 young people. Key topics were the negative impact of domestic violence and drug & alcohol abuse, as well as the positive role of women in society and the power of a good education as well as academic, moral values, and health education. The project also taught creative ways of presenting knowledge through art.  Courses such as puppet making, banner design, song-writing, and poetry were incorporated into the curriculum.

The key element of the "YCMTW" program was that young people were trained to take initiatives  themselves and encouraged to function as volunteers working in their own communities with similar young people.
