Project description

The Junior Youth Empowerment program is designed to help Junior Youth develop their true identity, an identity based on selfless service to humanity. In this way, when they become youth, they will have a purpose in life and crime, drug abuse, gambling, alcoholism and the drop out rate in school will be greatly reduced.

This program is done under the mentorship of animators who have undergone a special training on how to interact and train children of this age.  Mentoring Junior Youth will be carried out on a  voluntary basis as part of their services dedicated to the betterment of society. Animating junior youth groups is usually carried out on weekends or in evenings after school hours, using a program specially designed for empowering Junior Youth. The curriculum for Junior Youth has been designed to engross this special age group in dynamic process of development and enhance their skills for service to society.

The dynamics of the whole program which involves a lot of extra curricular activities like youth festivals, camping etc. is designed to allow them to put into practice the lessons that were learned in theory and develop them in community life. Many activities are carried out like service projects and this helps to maintain their interest. This age is the best age to "save" children, to instill into them noble ideals that will help them fight the negative forces which are too strong when they become real youth.

Over 4 years some 500 Junior Youth will participate to this program.
