Project of integrated development and social action in Kenya
DESCRIPTION
The training includes a wide range of topics such as mathematics, food production in small agricultural enterprises, the promotion of the environment, the aspirations of young people in relation to the society, health and so on. The common denominator and basis of this training is the objective of becoming an active member at the service of the community. The training tries to ensure a good balance between theoretical and practical knowledge and education. The students are encouraged to put into practice what they have learned by realizing awareness campaigns and information sessions on topics such as health and hygiene, holding classes for children of pre-school age, cleaning up the countryside ...

OUR PARTNER
MWELEKEO is a Kenyan charity organization which was officially recognized as NGO by the Kenyan Commission in 2007. By the end of 2007, MWELEKEO launched a PSA pilot project in the west of Kenya to examine how this program would work in Kenya. The organization decided to start modestly and to concentrate on the training and the strengthening of the capacities of the organization itself. Therefore, the members attended training and coordination classes. The project started with 14 teachers and in 2009 they formed a group of new tutors. Actually, the project counts 24 trained tutors in PSA working with about 150 youth.
