Inaugurating our new office
On 3rd December we inaugurated our new office in the presence of many friends and sympatisers.
In fact it was a double inauguration namely: on one hand side our new premises and on the other hand the inauguration of our new web page.
Our President Fernand Schaber was proud to recall the path Unity Foundation took since its creation. Thus many projects in the educational or formation field have been realized in countries from Africa, Latin America and Asia.
He also emphasized the engagement of Unity Foundation's board members and underligned the specific meritoriousness of its founding member Mr. Abbas Rafii.
After having presented our new web page designed by the firm "Qiubits" Fernand Schaber invited the community to a drink .
IDAY 2008: From theory into concrete action!
Our sensibilization campaign regarding IDAY 2008 (International Day of the African Childhood and Youth) in collaboration with other Luxembourgish NGOs slowly but surely begins to be put in place. After having met responsibles from Luxembourgish Ministry for related collaboration request, a second meeting was held on December 13th in the premises of the "Cercle des ONG" in order to define concretely our activity pillars.
Following the example of 8 other European countries, IDAY Luxembourg will also organize various awareness activities related to the problem of education in African countries such as a round table, information and sensibilization events in schools and colleges as well as a Ceremony of IDAY-international at the European Parliament in Brussels on 12th June 2008.
